Our tours include the following:
HISTORIC HAVRE STROLLS
Ever wonder about the history of Havre's buildings? When they were built, what businesses were there, who the owners were, what the home's style is, who worked there, what happened to buildings that are now empty lots and where are their owners at eternal rest? Then take one of our Historic Havre Strolls! We offer three different Strolls of the Havre Residential Historic District: Victorian, Eclectic and Craftsman. Our Old Downtown Havre Stroll encompasses the historic business district, and a combination Victorian Homes/Old Downtown Stroll features Havre’s finest business and homes in one perfectly wrapped package. No one knows more about Havre’s historic buildings than we do, and we are excited to share that information with you!
HIGH LINE HERITAGE HOUSE MUSEUM
Want to see what one of those historic homes looks like on the inside? The High Line Heritage House Museum offers a glimpse of Victorian and Edwardian life in Havre's oldest two-story home in the Residential Historic District. You don't want to miss this diamond-in-the-rough tour, which features the Mathews family and their servants and boarders, their lives and activities ranging from everyday chores to nefarious figures.
HISTORY AMONG THE HEADSTONES
Our History Among the Headstones tours tell the lives and adventures of some of Havre's interesting citizens, including famous, infamous and not-as-well-known people. There are currently two different tours available: Notable Citizens and Hill County Founders. More tours are in the works, including an Interesting Hill County Women option which is planned to be conducted for Living History Day on June 2, 2018!
